ComponentOne Releases ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2006 v1

ComponentOne released ComponentOne Studio Enterprise 2006v1, a component toolset for Windows, Web, and Mobileapplication development. The first release of this component subscription for2006 includes more than 28 products compiled natively for Visual Studio 2005and provides product enhancements focused on accelerating visual developmentwith Microsoft Visual Studio 2005 by delivering new productivity technology,new product architecture, new product releases, and full support for the newfeatures of Visual Studio 2005.

  New productivity technology. SelectStudio Enterprise components for Visual Studio 2005 now include SmartDesignersaimed at simplifying the design-time experience and enhancing productivity onthe .NET Framework 2.0. The new SmartDesigners allow developers to set thecomponents most common properties without leaving the design surface.

  New product architecture. ComponentOne Preview for .NET. Thiscompletely re-engineered version of Preview for .NET adds printing and printpreview capabilities to Windows Forms applications, and features an enhancedobject model, a more modular design, improved performance, and more. ComponentOne WebMenus andWebBars for ASP.NET. This new version adds new C1WebTreeView andC1WebTabStrip components, as well as improvements to designers enhancing thedesign-time experience, and provides features and functionality not availablein-the-box with Visual Studio 2005.

 New product releases. ComponentOne ADO.NET DataExtender.ADO.NET DataExtender is an extension for ADO.NET 2.0 that simplifies datamodeling and programming for Windows Forms applications. ComponentOneMaskEdit for Mobile Devices. This newcomponent included in FlexGrid for Mobile Devices extends the functionality ofthe Compact Framework 2.0 TextBox control.

  Integration with Visual Studio 2005.New support for Visual Studio 2005 provides developers with unique features andfunctionality not available with the in-the-box tools. New products integratewith Visual Studio 2005 Windows Forms by supporting new features, including smarttags, snap lines, data binding, GDI+ text, and managed themes. The new ASP.NET2.0 Web Forms components fully support ASP.NET 2.0 features, including smart tags,data binding, resourced-based scripts and images, and ASP.NET 2.0 themes.

  Pricing and availability. ComponentOneStudio Enterprise customers will receive two versions of the Studio Enterprisecomponents. Subscribers will receive the full suite of components built on theMicrosoft .NET Framework 1.1, as well as a full suite of the new componentscompiled natively for the .NET Framework 2.0 and Visual Studio 2005. The fullversion of ComponentOne Studio Enterprise retails for US$999.95. CurrentComponentOne customers can upgrade to ComponentOne Studio Enterprise for US$749.95.Pre-renewal subscription pricing is available for all Studios.
