A. Microsoft Virtual Server 2005 R2 Service Pack 1 (SP1) beta 2 contains the VHDMount tool, which lets you mount a VHD file on your host machine. You can also install only the VHDMount component by running the Virtual Server installation and selecting custom installation. You'll see a list of components; ensure that only VHDMount is selected. Once installed, you can find the utility under C:Program FilesMicrosoft Virtual ServerVhdmount.
