Roll Out the Barrel! Microsoft Updates a Slew of Management Packs for the R2 Wave

I've already covered a bunch of releases today already, which include the following:

·         Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) 2013 Now Available

·         Remote Server Administration Tools Updated to Run on Windows 8.1

·         Connect to Windows and Windows Server Remote Desktops Using Android, OSX, and iOS

·         Two Rollups Already Released for Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2

However, the hits just keep coming. The number of updates today are starting to get a bit stifling. For some reason I just keep hearing the beginning quote from the Queensryche album title song, Empire, in my head. It goes like this:

next message…saved, Saturday at 9:24 p.m.

sorry, I'm just..... it's starting to hit me like a ummmm…ummmm…a 2 ton heavy thing.

For those that remember the Empire song, you are silently cursing me because the classic Queensryche guitar sound is now pounding in your own head and you're frantically searching Spotify to stream it. If you weren't ever a Queensryche fan, that's probably lost on you. However, I think the sentiment is still recognizable and appropriate. When Microsoft suggested there'd be a WAVE of releases coming in October they weren't kidding. Today's TIDAL wave is flooding my hard drive with new bits of geeky goodness.

A few minutes ago, a bunch more releases trickled out, so I thought I'd list them all here for those anticipating updates today. The following represents those Management Packs for System Center 2012 Operations Manager that have been updated to support the R2 releases.
