JSI Tip 7428. When you change two or more settings on a Windows XP local policy, the changes DO NOT take effect?

When you use Gpedit.msc to edit local policy settings on Windows XP, the changes DO NOT become effective.

To workaround this behavior, use either of the following methods:

Delete the Group Policy Objects temporary registry key:

1. Copy / Paste the following to a GPOTD.reg file:

REGEDIT4

[-HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionGroup Policy Objects]

2. Merge the GPOTD.reg file with your registry, or run regedit /s GPOTD.reg.
