When you try to add a deployed program to a GPO, you receive:

Add operation failed. Unable to extract deployment information from the package. Run validation on the package to ensure that the package is correct.

The Application event log contains:

Event Type: Error
Event Source: Software Installation
Event Category: None
Event ID: 103
Date: 07/02/2003
Time: 3:49:05 PM
User: N/A
Computer: ComputerName
Description: Software Installation failed to deploy package ProgramName.msi. The following error was encountered: The system cannot find the path specified.

This behavior will occur if there is not enough free space available on the partition that contains the SYSVOL.

To resolve the problem, free up some disk space on the partition that contains the SYSVOL, but DO NOT arbitrarily move files from the SYSVOL.
