I've often used Tweak UI (part of the Microsoft PowerToys toolset) to implement pointer-focus-follows-mouse functionality. But the tool doesn't seem to work with Windows 2000. How can I recover this functionality in Win2K?

Rest assured: Tweak UI is alive and well in Win2K. You simply need to use the Win2K-compliant Tweak UI 1.33.

You can download this version from Microsoft's Web site at http://www.microsoft.com/ntworkstation/downloads/powertoys/networking/nttweakui.asp. To enable the functionality you want, go to Tweak UI's Mouse tab and select the Activation follows mouse (X-Mouse) check box.
