Force Discovery of DPM from Operations Manager
Force a refresh of the Operations Manager information from System Center Data Protection Manager.

Q: I have connected a System Center 2012 Data Protection Manager deployment to a System Center 2012 Operations Manager deployment and want to force a discovery in Operations Manager of the DPM server information--how can I do this?
A: The easiest way to force a discovery in Data Protection Manager (DPM) is to restart the health service (System Center Management) on the DPM server:
net stop healthservicenet start healthservice
After that's completed, look at the Operations Manager event log for 125 event IDs which show the detail of the discovery start, process, and completion (see example below).
