Q. Can I rename a domain with Microsoft Exchange Server 2007 installed?

A. Renaming a domain when you have Exchange installed can cause problems. There are utilities to resolve these problems in Exchange 2003 environments, but there's no utility for an Exchange 2007 implementation. Therefore, renaming a domain with Exchange 2007 isn't supported and Exchange 2007 won't function if you rename the domain.
