JSI Tip 1009. How do I prevent Internet Explorer from being installed when I install NT 4.0?

In tip 882 we prevented Games from being installed and in tip 196 we stopped the installation of exchange.

To stop Internet Explorer from be installed, copy the i386 folder from the CD-ROM (tip 374) and from a Windows NT platform:

Expland SysSetup.in_ SysSetup.inf
ren SysSetup.in_ SysSetup.org

Edit SysSetup.inf and locate the Iexplore.inf string. Comment it out by placing a ; in from of it:

[Infs.Always]
; iexplore.inf,DefaultInstall

NOTE: - The rename of SysSetup.in_ is required to prevent the install from finding it.
