Q. What is the default encapsulation for network virtualization in Windows Server 2016?
A. Windows Server 2016 network virtualization (HNVv2) supports two types of encapsulation; NVGRE and VXLAN. The default encapsulation is VXLAN however it can be changed to NVGRE via REST.
