Outlook: Managing Outlook 2002's Address Bar

Can I get rid of the address bar that resides below the toolbar in Outlook 2002?

The address bar, which Figure 1 shows, isn't truly a toolbar and isn't something that you can turn on and off—it's a part of the UI that can't be removed. This bar is actually quite useful. I use the Back and Next buttons on the left to retrace my steps through the Outlook folder hierarchy. If you don't keep the Folder List displayed, you can click the folder name and choose a different folder to display. You can even drag an item to the folder name, wait for the folder list to pop up, then select the folder to which you want to move the item.

The Address box on the bar isn't very useful, however, if you don't frequently use Outlook as a browser. You can drag the Address box to the right of the screen to hide it. You can also modify the registry to keep the Address box minimized. Back up the registry first, then follow these steps:

Hiding the Address box by dragging it all the way to the right sets the registry's AddressBarWidth value to 0, but you don't want the registry to use this value. When AddressBarWidth has a value of 0, Outlook sets the address bar to the full width of the window when Outlook starts. Use 1 instead for the AddressBarWidth value.
