Silverlight 4 is all about business applications, says Brian Goldfarb, director of developer platforms for Microsoft. In a conversation with DevProConnections executive editor Sheila Molnar, Goldfarb talks about how Microsoft worked the top requests of business software developers into Silverlight 4. You can hear Goldfarb share his Silverlight 4 insights in a free DevProConnections podcast, "Silverlight 4: Features Customers Want."

One of the biggest improvements in Silverlight 4, says Goldfarb, is "being able to go beyond the browser in a very powerful way, trusted applications that let you build real software that you can install on Windows and Mac to take advantage of the underlying PC." Another most-requested feature in Silverlight 4 is its printing support, another practical addition that makes Silverlight a more viable platform for .NET business software developers.
