Officials at Microsoft confirmed that a glitch in the online service's E-mail system prevented many users from receiving messages last week. Users with names starting with P, Q and R were unable to process E-mail for almost a week. The problem is largely fixed, although a few lingering problems remain.
MSN has over 2 million subscribers and is the third largest online service after AOL and CompuServe
