A Windows 95 user from New York is suing Microsoft, claiming that the OS "ruined" his computer. The man, Anthony Lefco, filed his suit in September 1995, right after Microsoft released the new Windows OS. Lefco claims that Microsoft assured users that Windows 95 had been properly tested and was compatible with existing systems. After numerous failed attempts trying to install Windows 95, Lefco gave up and had to buy new hardware.

Lawyers for Microsoft argue that Lefco's experience was unusual and that the vast majority of its users are satisfied with the product
