The System Center community has been on fire the last couple days trying to get a solid time when the latest release of the Microsoft Deployment Toolkit (MDT) would release. Well, it is now available.
MDT is a popular Microsoft tool that automates and simplifies the image creation and deployment of Windows operating systems. This latest release supports the following operating system deployment scenarios:
The following represent some key additions in MDT 2013:
· Support for the Windows Assessment and Deployment Kit (ADK) for Windows 8.1.
· Support for deployment of Windows 8.1 and Windows Server 2012 R2.
· Support for System Center 2012 R2 Configuration Manager.
· Improved support x86-based Unified Extensible Firmware Interface (UEFI) systems.
