Microsoft's Commercial Internet System (MCIS)--code-named "Normandy"-will be launched this week at Spring Internet World in Las Angeles. Numerous third-party vendors are releasing add-on products for the suite of Internet servers, which include user location, mail and news, search, chat, personalization, and membership control services.

Additionally, the next version of Microsoft NetMeeting will use MCIS Chatservers and be optimized for MMX processors.
