The following are just a few of the dozens of tips on this site that require you to re-register various Internet Explorer dialog files:

JSI Tip 7903. You cannot access the Windows Update site?

JSI Tip 7949. When you attempt to install updates from the Windows Update site, you receive 'Error 0x8007007e'?

JSI Tip 8321. Is your Windows Explorer folder pane blank?

If you are running Windows XP Service Pack 2, or greater, Microsoft has made the task easier:

1. Open a CMD.EXE window.

2. Type the following command and press Enter:

"%ProgramFiles%Internet Exploreriexplore.exe" /rereg
