JSI Tip 7889. You receive a 0x000000FE BSOD when Windows XP resumes from Standy or Hibernation?

When your computer returns from standy or hibernation, use receive a STOP 0x000000FE Blue Screen Of Death (BSOD).

If you installed the Availability of the Windows XP SP1 USB 1.1 and 2.0 Update on your Windows XP SP1 computer, and you removed the USB 2.0 EHCI controller from Device Manager because it had a yellow exclamation mark (Code 10) error, you may encounter this error.

DO NOT remove the device from Device Manager, disable it instead:

1. Start / Run / devmgmt.msc / OK.

2. Expand Universal Serial Bus controllers.

3. Right-click the device that displays the yellow exclamation mark and press Disable.

4. Press Yes to confirm.

NOTE: Try to update the Device Driver.
