When you try to open Add or Remove Programs, or Set Program Access and Defaults, on Windows XP SP1, you receive Value creation failed " at line 410.

This problem may occur if %SystemRoot%System32Shellstyle.dll is missing or damaged.

To resolve the problem, do any of the following, in order of preference:

- If %SystemRoot%System32class_ss.dll exists, rename it to %SystemRoot%System32Shellstyle.dll.

- If you have another Windows XP computer, copy %SystemRoot%System32Shellstyle.dll from it.

- Expand I386class_ss.dl_ from the Windows XP CD-ROM to %SystemRoot%System32Shellstyle.dll.

- If any of the following files exists, copy one of them to %SystemRoot%System32Shellstyle.dll:

%SystemRoot%ResourcesThemesLunaShellNormalColorShellstyle.dll
%SystemRoot%ResourcesThemesLunaShellHomesteadShellstyle.dll
%SystemRoot%ResourcesThemesLunaShellMetalicShellstyle.dll

- If any of the following files exists, rename them all to Shellsytle.dll, and copy one of them to %SystemRoot%System32Shellstyle.dll:

%SystemRoot%ResourcesThemesLunaShellNormalColorBlue_ss.dll
%SystemRoot%ResourcesThemesLunaHomesteadHome_ss.dll
%SystemRoot%ResourcesThemesLunaShellMetalicMetal_ss.dll
