JSI Tip 5603. In a workgroup, you receive 'The browser was unable to retrieve a list of domains from the browser master ....'?

In a workgroup environment (no domain controller), your event log contains:

The browser was unable to retrieve a list of domains from the browser master \ServerName on the network DeviceNbf_. The data is the error code.

This problem is due to the Browser service being unable to find a master browser while itattempts to create a list of computers in your workgroup.

To resolve this problem, make sure that the master browser is available. See tip 0148.
