When you try to install Flash 5.0 from a Flash-enabled Web site, you receive a Windows File Protection error?

This error occurs because Swflash.ocx is in the list of protected operating system files.

To resolve the issue, visit the Windows Update site and download the Windows XP Update Package, October 25, 2001, which removes the Swflash.ocx file from the list of protected operating system files.

NOTE: You can download the Flash Player from http://www.macromedia.com/downloads.
