JSI Tip 4920. Your Windows XP docking station's Undock/Eject button won't undock your computer?

When you try to undock/eject your Windows XP computer by press the Undock/Eject button on your docking station, the computerdoes NOT undock. You may receive:

Problem Undocking from docking station You cannot eject your computer because you do not havesufficient security privileges to do so.Please contact your administrator to obtain these privileges.

You have the problem even if your have administrative privileges.

This behavior will occur if all of the following are true:

1. You use the Fast User Switching feature.

2. You are logged on as an additional user.

3. You are using the undock/eject button that is located on the docking station.

To workaround this problem, use any of the following:

1. Press Start and Undock Computer.

2. Switch to the first user that logged on and press the undock/eject button that is located on the docking station.

3. Switch to the Welcome screen and press the undock/eject button that is located on the docking station.
