In tip 0889, we set the the background bitmap for Internet Explorer.

In Windows NT 5.x+, you can set the Windows Explorer toolbar bitmap:

1. Use the Registry Editor to navigate to:

HKEY_CURRENT_USERSoftwareMicrosoftInternet ExplorerToolbar.

2. On the Edit menu, add a new string Value Name of BackBitmapShell and set the data value to the full path of your .bmp file, like C:WINNTWebwvleft.bmp.

You will need to logoff and logon.
