If you installed Windows XP with the (GMT-06:00) Guadalajara, Mexico City, Monterrey time zone, using the Control Panel / Date and Time tool will reset it to (GMT-07:00) Chihuahua, La Paz, Mazatlan, decreasing the time on your computer by one hour?

Microsoft made a small mistake on the Windows XP CD-ROM. To fix the problem, copy and paste the following into a Mexico2.reg file. Either double-click the Mexico2.reg file, or run Regedit /s Mexico2.reg, to fix the problem.

REGEDIT4[HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftWindows NTCurrentVersionTime ZonesMexico Standard Time 2]"Dlt"="Mexico Daylight Time 2""Std"="Mexico Standard Time 2"
