A. To use the registry to include all file types in a file system search, perform the following steps:
Start a registry editor (e.g., regedit.exe).
Navigate to the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlContentIndex registry subkey.
Double-click FilterFilesWithUnknownExtensions, set the value to 1, then click OK.
Close the registry editor.
