Q: If I configure multiple NICs into a NIC team, how do I set the individual NICs to have a static IP address?

A: When you team NICs together, the individual NICs that are part of the team no longer have their own network services. Instead, the NICs in the team are now part of a logical unit, the NIC team. The NIC team virtual network adapter has network services that include IP configuration. Therefore, you don't configure individual NICs in a team with IP configuration; instead, you configure the NIC team that contains the individual NICs. The following figure shows the details of a NIC that's part of a team; notice that the IP services are unbound from the NIC.
