Understand how to classify PDF files based on their content.

Q: Can I use File Classification Infrastructure to classify PDF documents in Windows Server?

A: It's possible to add file filter types (iFilters) into File Classification Infrastructure (FCI) to enable scanning of non-native document types (i.e., not Office documents). Several PDF iFilters are available; the most common one I've seen is Foxit iFilter. Adobe also has an iFilter.
