OneDrive for Android is Updated Too

In addition to the OneDrive for Windows Phone update I noted earlier, Microsoft has also update its OneDrive app for Android. The new version supports widgets, so you can customize your home screen, and lets you access the OneDrive Recycle Bin.

"Today we're rolling out a new version of our Android app that continues to fulfill that promise and make it easier to access your files and stay productive while on the go," Microsoft's Omar Shahine notes in a post to the OneDrive Blog.

Here's what's new.

Widget support. You can create OneDrive-based widgets and place them on your device's home screen. Oddly enough, it works as does pinning folders on Windows Phone. And from Microsoft's shot—I don't see this update yet on my own phones—it looks like pinned folders on Windows Phone too.

Recycle Bin. You can now access the OneDrive Recycle Bin from the app, so you can find and restore deleted files right from your phone or tablet.

You can download OneDrive for Android from the Google Play Store.
