 Infragistics hasbeen working with Microsoft to leverage new capabilities in Visual Studio 2008to provide developers and designers with the tools to create rich, immersive Webexperiences.

 Infragisticsleading component toolsets, NetAdvantage for .NET and NetAdvantage for WindowsPresentation Foundation (WPF), were built for Visual Studio 2008, sodevelopment teams can create innovative user experiences on the latest Microsoftplatforms.

ASP.NET

VisualStudio multi-targeting development. Infragistics recognizes thatwhile development teams are excited to begin development of applications on thenew .NET 3.5 Framework, they also need to continue to maintain existing applicationswritten against .NET 2.0. Therefore, ASP.NET controls will be available asnative assemblies compiled against both framework versions so developers canwork completely in their chosen framework version. Additionally, they will alsosupport using the .NET 2.0 assemblies in a .NET 3.5 project.

  CSS Design Tools. NetAdvantageleverages the CSS design tools in Visual Studio 2008, which enablescollaboration between developers and designers inside the design surface.

  Integration of ASP.NET AJAX 1.0 Extensions into .NET3.5. .NET 3.5 integrates the advanced AJAX capabilities previouslyreleased as the Microsoft ASP.NET AJAX Extensions 1.0. Because Infragistics Aikido-based controls are built directly on top of the AJAXcapabilities, developers can now leverage this improved integration without theneed for extensions or additional application configuration.

  LinqDataSource Control in ASP.NET 3.5.LINQ introduces revolutionary new query capabilities to .NET 3.5, making iteasier for developers to integrate and manage the mountains of data their usersneed in their applications. ASP.NET developers can leverage the newLinqDataSource control to easily introduce LINQ capabilities into theirapplication, using the familiar Data Source Control pattern that has existedsince ASP.NET 2.0. The WebGrid in NetAdvantage for ASP.NET 8.1 has beenmodified to understand how to bind to LINQ queries and the LinqDataSourcecontrol, making it easier for developers not only to query the data, but tointegrate the query results into their applications.

  .NET 3.5. All NetAdvantage forASP.NET 8.1 assemblies are compiled against the .NET 2.0 and .NET 3.5 Frameworks,so developers can work with natively compiled code, simplifying development.

WPF

VisualStudio Design Time Support. The NetAdvantage for WPF controls renderat design time and provide drag/drop functionality, resizing logic, and otherenhancements to the Visual Studio 2008 design surface.

  Toolbox Integration. TheNetAdvantage for WPF controls appear directly in the toolbox for a seamlessfeel for developers utilizing the traditional WPF paradigm.

 IntelliSense Support. Full IntelliSensesupport inside the code-behind and the xaml files help developers quickly codeagainst our object model.
