ComponentOne has released a new version of its suite of data and UI controls for Visual Studio, Studio Enterprise 2012 V1, which now includes support for Visual Studio 2012. Bernardo Castilho, chief technology officer at ComponentOne, said, "2012 is going to be a big year for Microsoft Windows and Visual Studio, and in continuing with our tradition we will be sim-shipping new versions of our tools with Microsoft's latest offerings."

The following are highlights of Studio Enterprise 2012 V1's new features:

  • ComponentOne Events Calendar is a new HTML5 scheduler control that lets users add, edit, and manage their appointments.

  • Report Mapping in Studio for WinForms is a new feature that lets users display data visually on maps in reports.

  • A new Metro Calendar control for Windows Phone lets users deliver custom Metro-style calendars with easy and flexible styling.

Also in this release, ComponentOne and Esri are providing developers with the ability to enhance the functionality and style of their mapping applications in Studio Enterprise 2012 V1. Now developers can leverage Esri's mapping software and ComponentOne's UI controls to create line-of-business (LOB) applications.
