A. Typically, to use a service with SNMP you need a special database called an MIB. Exchange Server 5.5 supports the Mail and Directory Management (MADMAN) MIB, but the MADMAN standard lacks a number of useful features. Glen Darling has produced an MIB that should get you started monitoring your Exchange Server systems. To download the MIB database, go to Bookstore, click Goodies & Links, and scroll down until you see the Glen Darling and MIB links. Click MIB.
