We asked the SharePoint questions. SharePoint branding expert Cathy Dew answered them!
#1: What do you think is challenging and/or important for people to learn about SharePoint/Office 365?
Changing the look of SharePoint is one of the hardest things because it combines multiple skillsets: Designer, Developer, Business Analyst and IT Pro. It is something that can have a major and lasting effect on user adoption, if done correctly.
#2: What piece of advice would you give new attendees for getting the most out of a tech conference?
Don’t be afraid to walk up to the speakers and ask them questions outside of sessions. Most will happily take some time to talk to you. Mingle and mix with other attendees and find out how your challenges, jobs and experiences are different and similar.
#3: What do you drink at SharePint?
A fun one, I usually don’t partake in a pint at SharePint, but you can find me sipping on a vodka and Sprite tall when out socializing many times.
#4: What are you most looking forward to at September’s IT/Dev Connections?
Meeting new people and learning about challenges that others face in their companies and environments.
#5: Give us the “elevator pitch” about your presentations--what are you going to talk about?
Learning how to work with SharePoint to create engaging user experiences that take your sites from bland to brand.
