A. Windows 2000 moved many items from their Windows NT 4.0 locations. Although most control panel applets were left alone, the ODBC Data Sources applet is an exception. Microsoft removed it as a Control Panel applet in Win2K and now lists it in the Administrative Tools program groups folder. To view the program, from the Start menu, select Programs, Administrative Tools, then Data Sources (ODBC).

You can also call the program directly by running odbcad32.exe. (This method also works in NT 4.0).

The actual functionality of the utility is unchanged.
