Sun Microsystems and Microsoft Corporation have both agreed to delay acourt hearing regarding Windows 98 and Java. The hearing, which was delayeduntil September 4th, will determine whether Windows 98 needs to be compatible with Sun's version of Java: Sun had previously asked the courtto require Microsoft to ship Windows 98 with a version of Java that is compatible with Sun's official version.
