JSI Tip 0954. How do I prevent a user from altering the Recycle Bin properties?

Right click the Recycle Bin and choose Properties. Click OK.

Use Regedt32 to navigate to:

HKEY_Local_MachineSoftwareMicrosoftWindowsCurrentVersionExplorerBitBucket

With the BitBucket sub-key highlighted, go to the Security menu and select Permissions. Change the permissions for Everyone from Special Access to Read.

Exist Regedt32.

The change will take place immediately.

This hack will also work on a Terminal Server.
