Telerik Releases New Controls for Silverlight 3 and WPF
Telerik, a vendor of developmenttools and UI components for .NET, announced the Beta release of 10 new controlsfor Silverlight 3 and WPF, including RadRibbonBar, RadDocking for WPF, RadTileView,and RadOutlookBar.
The RadRibbonBar lets developers organize thenavigation functionality of their applications into a single compact toolbarcontrol without doing any coding. RadDocking for WPF lets Telerik clients achievea docking system like the one in Microsoft Visual Studio 2008. The RadTileViewcontrol lets developers easily create an immersive browsing experience andcustomized dashboards for web and desktop. And the RadOutlookBar control letsdevelopers deliver Outlook's navigational bar to their applications.
RadControls for Silverlight 3 features more than 30advanced UI components to provide a toolset for building line-of-businessSilverlight applications. The suite features the first commercial 3D chart forSilverlight, binding to .NET RIA Services, Silverlight 3 native validation, andout-of-browser support. Almost all Silverlight controls have a WPF counterpart,enabling developers to build mirror web and desktop applications with identicalUIs much more easily. The Beta release of RadControls for Silverlight alsofeatures new RadCoverFlow, RadSplitButton, RadDropDownButton, RadRadioButtonand RadButton controls.
RadControls for WPF is a WPF toolset. In additionto the new RadDocking, RadOutlookBar, and RadTileView controls, the toolsetenhances existing controls, including RadScheduler, RadChart, RadGauge, andothers.
