The built-in HTML editor is used in the HTML, News &Articles, and Simple Blog modules. The editor is very similar to most modernword processors, such as Microsoft Word. The editor has three views: normal (ordesign) view, HTML code view, and browser (preview) view. The HTML editor sfunctionality can be accessed by Internet Explorer, Safari, Firefox, and anybrowser built around the gecko rendering engine. GMP CMS 2.0 works with nearlyany Web browser, whether you are working from Windows, Macintosh, or Linux.

Using the CMS 2.0HTML editor, you can add, edit, and format text and images. You can also uploadand embed videos, music, files, documents and zippedfiles (archives). The built-in HTML editor even has an online image editor, spell check, and the ability to upload and use preformatted, built-in HTMLtemplates.

One of the mostimportant aspects of a content management system besides managing the contentis securing the content. GMP CMS 2.0 leverages the inherited security methodsin ASP.NET 2.0, as well as secured content via security roles (user groups) andthe included filtering system (called BadBot). Tabs (pages), and even modules, can be secured so only the group that has access to view can see the content. You can mix and match the security of modules, and you can secure entire tabs(pages) and only allow a certain group or groups to access the content andinformation on that page.

User roles can beassigned several roles: View/Browse, Edit, and Administrator. You can createunlimited security (user) roles. Users passwords are encrypted to preventtheft.

By default, CMS2.0 prevents SQL Script injection. If a script is pasted into one of thecontent modules, it is automatically removed when the module is updated.

Leveraging ASP.NETsecurity, as well as the security roles in CMS 2.0, you can restrict contentsuch as file downloads, videos, and articles to only certain groups.

The BadBot filterredirects incoming visitors based on the User Agent, IP address (or IP range),Machine Name, Host name, and even referrer. Partial and Full IP addresses canbe entered. More than 500 BadBot entries are included in CMS 2.0.
