What is Global Service Monitor (GSM)?

Q: What is Global Service Monitor?

A: Global Service Monitor (GSM) is a benefit for customers that have Software Assurance on System Center. It provides a series of monitors hosted in Windows Azure that can check the availability of websites and web applications from all over the globe, reporting time to respond.

This allows you to see your website availability and response time from all over the world and feeds that information into System Center Operations Manager. To try out GSM, if you don't have Software Assurance, a 90-day trial is available.

A great map view is also available via Application Monitoring, Web Application Availability Monitoring, Web Application Status and run the Summary Dashboard, Map action.
