Once in awhile, AutoFormat will make a correction that you wish to reverse. It’s easy—just undo!

  • Press CTRL+Z. Of course you can use the Undo command or the button, too, but since AutoFormat affects you as you type the keyboard shortcut is valuable.

  • Note that if you do not undo immediately following the AutoFormat, you may need to undo several times, so just press CTRL+Z again until the AutoFormat is reversed, then retype additional text.

This allows you to leave an AutoFormat option enabled, as a general rule, yet retain the option to undo corrections on a case-by-case basis.
