Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit 9.1 Released

The Microsoft Assessment and Planning (MAP) Toolkit is Microsoft's tool to inventory and assess the current environment to help develop plans for migrations. It works for Windows, Windows 7, Office 2013, Office 2010, Office 365, Windows Server 2012 and 2008 R2, SQL Server 2012, Hyper-V, and Windows Azure.

Today, Microsoft has announced that version 9.1 has been released. Based on customer feedback, new features and additional discovery is available.

Version 9.1 now includes discovery for Windows 8.1, Windows Server 2012 R2, and SQL Server 2014. In addition, you can now choose Windows Server 2012 R2 as a virtual machine host platform during discovery. Improvements in SQL Server discovery include the ability to scan for SQL-related components outside of the database engine including Reporting Services, Data Quality Services, and Master Data Services.
