When you install MSMQ in dependent-client mode, the MSMQ icon does NOT appear in Control Panel.

This behavior will occur if you provided the FQDN (Fully Qualified Domain Name) for the supporting server.

To resolve this problem:

1. Start / Run / Regedit / OK.

2. Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESOFTWAREMicrosoftMSMQParameters.

3. Double-click the RemoteQMMachine Value Name, a string (REG_SZ) data type, and set the data value to the NetBIOS computer name of the supporting server.

4. Close the Registry Editor.

NOTE: If the FQDN of the supporting server is JSI002.JSIINC.COM, set RemoteQMMachine to JSI002.
