JSI Tip 6617. Animated GIF images on Commerce Server 2002 Web sites do NOT appear as expected?

When you use Windows Server 2003 and Internet Explorer to connect to a Commerce Server 2002 Web site, the animated .gif images on Web pages are not rendered properly.

This behavior is the result of the Play animations in web pages option in Internet Explorer being turned off by the default Enhanced Security Configuration feature of Internet Explorer on Windows Server 2003.

To resolve this behavior:

1. Use the Internet Explorer Tools menu to press Internet Options.

2. Select the Advanced tab.

3. Under the Multimedia section, check the Play animations in web pages.

4. Press OK.
