A. When a user logs on, the system processes variables in the following order:

  1. Dynamic variables, such as OS variables

  2. System variables defined in System tools in the Control Panel

  3. Variables defined in the autoexec.bat file

  4. Environment variables defined for the current user in System tools in the Control Panel

If a variable is defined several times, the last setting takes precedence.
