Better Cloud Redistribution Planning Using Cloud Cruiser's Hybrid IT Cost Advisor

On Monday, February 10, 2014, Cloud Cruiser, a cloud financial management company, released the Hybrid IT Cost Advisor for Windows Azure.

Cost Advisor is a tool that allows those organizations utilizing a Hybrid Cloud model to quickly determine when and if adjustments needs to be made to redistribute workloads. This enables companies to take better advantage of the available resources, on-premise and in Windows Azure, to ensure the most cost effective use of the technologies.

Using analytics, the tool could be used, for example, to compare data storage, data consumption, server resource utilizing, and virtual machine usage, and determine if shifting resources to Windows Azure might mean better cost savings. The data can be used to make modification as necessary or to help build long term plans.
