Symantec Endpoint Protection 11 Reaches End of Life on January 5, 2015

On January 5, 2015, Symantec Endpoint Protection (SEP) 11.x will reach of support, including all maintenance packs and patches. SEP 11.x was released in 2007. The product version entered into extended support, or Limited Support, as Symantec calls it, on January 5, 2014.

Symantec is advising customers to quickly move to SEP 12.1.x since the security landscape has changed considerably since the 2007 release. Since the product version entered into Limited Support no further development has been provided.

There is no cost to upgrade for customers with a current maintenance contract.
