Review: ROMOSS Solo5 10000mAh Power Bank
November 21, 2016
Backup power for devices is a must - particularly for travelers and those who put big demands on their mobile devices from playing game likes Pokemon Go and others. Powerbanks are pretty a dime-a-dozen these days. They've become so common you can literally snag one in the checkout line at the grocery store. But not all powerbanks are created equal.
A good example of that is from my testing the Romoss Solo 5 portable external battery pack. The form factor is not the best - its pretty large in comparison to others - but what it does offer makes up for the larger size. Not that its enormous, by any means - just that its not the small, lipstick sized battery packs some carry around in their purse or front pocket.
The Romoss Solo 5 is about the size of an iPhone 6 Plus (just a bit smaller). And, like most powerbanks, the Romoss Solo 5 has smart charging capability (giving the desired device just the right amount of charging output), but, the Romoss Solo 5 is unique in that it can adequately charge two devices at once.
If you're looking to stuff a few stockings with gadget fodder during the holidays, there's no one that wouldn't find the Romoss Solo 5 a useful gift.
Here's the rest of the features:
Fast Self-charging IC Technology: Can automatically adjust the current and voltage, speeding up the charging efficiency up to 90% while discharging efficiency is 92%.
High capacity: Smart Dual USB output (5V/1A and 5V/2.1A) can charge two devices at the same time.
Built-in 10 intelligent safety system ensures complete protection for devices.
Dust-proof and fire-retardant
Enters dormant mode when unused after 1 minute.
4 LED lights indicates charging levels.
The Romoss Solo 5 is available from Amazon for around $10: ROMOSS Solo5 10000mAh Power Bank
