Meet the New Content Director & Editor of Windows IT Pro
April 18, 2015
Windows IT Pro has a new content director and editor in chief.
Meet Lisa Schmeiser.
She comes to Penton Technology from InfoWorld, where she most recently has been the newsletter editor, editing and producing 24 newsletters, and cultivator of InfoWorld’s social media outlets, and also reported, edited and blogged. Previously Schmeiser served as senior associate editor of Macworld and Executive Editor and Senior Editor of macworld.com, and launched Macworld.com forums. She also covered mobile networking and telecom and e-commerce for Investor’s Business Daily. Earlier Schmeiser blogged about personal finance for the San Francisco Chronicle. In her spare time Schmeiser freelances for publications like Slate, TechHive and Wired Digital and she writes and edits a curatorial newsletter as a test bed for developing best practices for organic audience building and engagement, hyper-linking and content presentation. She is also the author of The Complete Website Upgrade and Maintenance Guide (1998) and The Web Templates Sourcebook (1997).
You'll begin to see Schmeiser's contributions on the site next week, where she'll be covering RSA USA 2105 at Moscone Center in San Francisco, not far from our brand new Penton office in Emeryville. Drop her a line and share your thoughts and ideas for Windows IT Pro. She'll work closely with Penton Tech Engagement Director and SuperSite for Windows Content Director Rod Trent and the rest of our team. We have big plans for the site and our coverage and we'd like to hear more from you about what's on your mind, the biggest challenges you face, and what you'd like to see us cover that we're not covering now. You can reach her at [email protected].
