"Camp" 'n' Code Event for .NET and SQL Server Pros
March 29 Code Camp promises info-packed sessions for developers and IT pros
March 25, 2008
If you’re in the Atlanta area—and you love to code—a free-of-charge .NET community event called Code Camp might be just the excuse you need to get out of spring cleaning or that home improvement project you were planning for this weekend.
The daylong Code Camp event, in its fourth year, takes place on the campus of DeVry University in Decatur, Georgia, this Saturday, March 29. The camp runs from 8:00 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. and includes eight tracks and dozens of sessions oriented toward developers and IT pros whose jobs involve some amount of development. Among the tracks are Web, Data/SQL, .NET Fundamentals, and Office/SharePoint.
Instrumental in organizing the Code Camps are two Atlanta-area .NET community leaders, Matt Ranlett and Brendon Schwartz, whose expertise includes .NET programming as well as SharePoint and SQL Server development and administration. Matt and Brendon also maintain the Atlanta .NET Regular Guys site and have written several articles on SharePoint and SQL Server topics for Windows IT Pro and SQL Server Magazine. Ranlett expects around 300 people to attend this year’s code camp. “We were one of the first regions to host a code camp, and we're still going strong!” he said.
You can find more information about the March 29 Code Camp, including links to the agenda and other code camps in the southeastern US region, at the Atlanta Code Camp site.
