Surface 3 now available for retail purchase

The newest addition to the Microsoft Surface product line, Surface 3, is now available at retail stores and online.

Surface 3 now available for retail purchase

After a month in pre-order status you can now go online and in some physical stores to get your Surface 3.

The latest addition to the Surface family has been positively received by most reviewers in the last month as reviews of the device have been published around the web.

While it is certainly the little brother to the more powerful Surface Pro 3 it has a place in the Surface lineup because it brings full Windows capabilities at a great mid-range price point.

Of course one sticking point for some is the requirement to purchase the keyboard and pen separately to give you the entire package.  While Surface 3 would be a great deal as a full Windows tablet adding the pen and keyboard round it out for many usage scenarios.

Here are the retailers now carrying Surface 3 and a link to the product page:

  • Amazon (Note: The 4GB RAM/128GB model from Microsoft is already showing as temporarily out of stock; other retailers are selling it for a higher price)
