Panduit Corp. said today that it has acquired Unite Technologies Ltd. to expand its capabilities for energy management and environmental monitoring solutions for the enterprise and data center.

The deal will further support Panduit's Unified Physical Infrastructure (UPI) solutions for data centers, the companies said. The UPI system integrates equipment and technology from Panduit and its partners to provide an integrated approach to enclosures, power and cooling for IT equipment. Unite Technologies’ expertise complements Panduit's products in the infrastructure management space, Panduit said, noting that the acquisition will bring an end-to-end physical to logical view and management of the physical infrastructure.

"Unite Technologies brings innovative technology and a highly skilled team to Panduit," said Tom Donovan, the President of Panduit Corp. "Unite has a proven track record of success in helping forward thinking customers measure and monitor energy usage, enabling energy management capabilities that address high priority business and operational objectives.”

“The Unite solutions are an excellent complement to the Panduit offering,” Simon Terry, Unite Technologies CEO added. “We are thrilled to be joining the Panduit team. Our combined solution will help customers harness the power of infrastructure management in new data centers and maximize utilization of existing data centers.”

Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
